Okay, so first, I love all the romance books that this author writes. Usually, I complete the books in one day, but this one had so many details and narrative that it took me about a week, which I loved because I had more time with it! What I do hate though are these book cover photos! They put this forced image of the main characters in my head instead of the ones I create. If I were to think of what the main characters looked like in real life I would say Jenna Ortega (the actress who was spared by Joe in You!) would be Luna and maybe Noah Centineo as Will. The story line follows the classic military romance taking place I Oceanside/Los Angeles. Living in LA, and spending time in Oceanside, I love the reliability I have with the location and the characters. This book deals with anxiety and self-image. something I have experienced a lot more since the pandemic started. I felt an even deeper connection to this story as it wasn't a straight we love each other but have a few barriers and will end up together. This couple really had to work for it. Gray did an amazing job and I can't wait for her next book! Until then, I will be rereading these!
